Bodegas El Progreso is the cooperative of Villarrubia de los Ojos (Ciudad Real), the town where the River Guadiana rises and which gives the label its name. This young white from the D.O. La Mancha is made solely from Verdejo. It has a clean, bright greenish-yellow colour, delicate aromas of tropical fruit and white flowers, and a fruity, fresh and flavourful palate with a certain richness and good length. Serve at 8-9 °C with seafood, fish, rice dishes, sushi or salads.
