Tenuta La Badiola, on the coast of the Tuscan Maremma, belongs to the Terra Moretti group, which also owns Bellavista in Franciacorta. Its wines are named after the Acquagiusta stream – the ‘good water’ of a land that was once marshland. This red blends Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah in almost equal parts; a small portion goes into used barriques to gain texture. It stands out for its bright plum fruit and well-structured finish. For chargrilled meat and pasta.
