Salvano is a family-run winery in Diano d’Alba that has been making wine in the Langhe since the 1960s. Its Barolo comes from Nebbiolo grapes grown within the appellation and is aged in wooden casks for no less than 18 months. Bright ruby red with garnet glints, it offers an intense nose with hints of tobacco and chocolate, and a dry, velvety palate. Best opened an hour before serving. A classic match for roasts, game, brasato al Barolo and aged cheeses.
