At Tenuta La Badiola, part of the Terra Moretti group, Alicante – the name Grenache goes by in Tuscany – was planted specifically to make this rosé, for its perfume, ripe fruit and soft tannins. The grapes are picked early to retain acidity and fermented at low temperature, between 15 and 18 °C. The result is a rosé with herbaceous and red fruit notes, medium body and a dry, saline finish. Delicious on its own or with aperitifs, fish and Mediterranean cuisine.
